Support Group Meetings
The support groups listed below meet monthly at the Tucson Alliance for Autism Center located at 1002 N. Country Club Road (one
block south of Country Club). Please contact the individual groups directly for further information on the meetings you are
interested in.
If you are interested in having your group meet at the TAFA Center, please call (520) 319-5857 to schedule at least three days in
advance.
Autism Society of Pima County General Support Meeting
Want more information about the issues that families and professionals in the autism community face every day? Want to meet other
families and professionals who are looking for a support network with which to share their experiences and challenges? The Autism
Society of Pima County organizes a monthly meeting for anyone who is looking for either information or support in dealing with
autism. The meetings are held on the first Monday of every month from 6 - 8 PM at the TAFA Center. Childcare is always available. Email Peter Earhart with specific child care requests.

president@tucsonautism.org or call 577-7647 and ask to be added to the mailing list. You may request to receive the newsletter

Asperger Syndrome Family Support Group
Does your child or relative have a diagnosis of Asperger syndrome? Do you have questions about schools, diagnosis, treatment,
research? This is an opportunity to find common ground, share experiences and learn from each other. The Asperger Syndrome
Family Support Group meets the Second Thursday of every month at the TAFA Center, from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Please provide your own
childcare.

Vanguard Preparatory School
Vanguard Preparatory School is a Private Non-Profit School for children diagnosed with high functioning Autism
Spectrum Disorders. Vanguard is hoping to start with a class of 10 in the fall of 2007. Vanguard Preparatory
School meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the TAFA Center from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Vanguard is
always looking for professionals in this field for input so they can not only be the first school of its kind in
